@Elaine Barr--Cool! I'll be based in Luray, VA, which is roughly an hour from northern VA. So we're a little ways apart, but it would be cool if we somehow managed to run into one another!

Hey @Nervalis Mendina, very cool! I will be there in a couple of weeks and staying at some place called the Verde House. Let me know if you'd ever want to meet up/ hang out. Do we have the same supervisor?  Mine is Jose Ortega.

Hey  Claudia Hartley I am serving here at El Yunque National Forest since September 2013 and will be here until the end of April of this year. I guess I will see you around. Also, there another SCA girl but she is only part time and I barely see her. We are both locals.

@Ashley Lohr, I'm in a year-long SCA/AmeriCorps position in Eastern NC through August. If you are in southern/eastern VA we might not be too far apart.

Anyone serving in VA for SCA/AmeriCorps this summer??

Similar to Megan, I'm wondering if any one else is or will be serving in Puerto Rico? I'll be in El Yunque National Forest 3/31/14-2/8/15, holler if you want to connect!

Alumni and others! If you are 18-34, apply TODAY for this leadership opportunity with the National Parks Conservation Association. Application looks easy!

Must be able to serve for two years and travel (expenses paid).

There will be accepting additional candidates later in the year, so keep them in mind.
