National Day of Service in NYC
Looking for an opportunity to volunteer on Monday the 21st for the National Day of Service? Quite a few park clean-up projects will be going on across the boroughs, including in areas of Queens and Staten Island affected by Hurricane Sandy. SCA joined NYC Parks for a clean-up event at Fort Tryon Park in northern Manhattan, helping to clear fallen branches and other debris left by Hurricane Sandy, and prepare the ground for new grass to be planted in the spring. With just over a week until I officially move out to Colorado for my internship in Rocky Mountain National Park, the time is flying by.
I've finally got my finances ready for the summer, making sure I had enough money to cover bills and other expenses that I can foresee for the summer in Estes Park.
